Get KS2 and KS3 in to Physics

Currently the STEM industry is facing a shortage in graduates being employed in the public sector – most graduates are moving in to the private sector.

We need to encourage our students to look for careers in the public sector too as these are the roles that really make a difference. For instance, Dr Heather Williams (@alrightPET) is the Principal Medical Physicist The ChristieNHS where her and her team are carrying out some amazing work around diagnosing and treating cancer. We need to inspire more of our future scientists to follow her footsteps – and we need to start now!

I always find when trying encourage pupils to go in to science as a career that showing them exciting experiments opens up their imagination. So watch the video linked above for some ideas to bring in to your classroom.
